Introduction
Bullhorn.FM is an interactive podcast player available on iOS, Android, and the web, featuring a player and an interactive studio for live episode creation. Due to my role as Director at FreeConferenceCall, I was assigned to manage the Bullhorn startup among other companies under the CarrierX umbrella. Within a few years, I successfully launched several key initiatives, including setting up the branding, launching the mobile and web apps, and creating the live interaction studio, which was praised by upcoming podcasters for its ease of use and feature-rich dashboard.
My Role
I worked with Bullhorn for about three years while also serving as the Design Director for FreeConferenceCall. I managed the design team’s workload and collaborated with three project managers to balance priorities and shift focus as needed for product design. Additionally, I led design efforts for both product design and marketing, working closely with graphic designers. My responsibilities included creating websites, web apps, mobile apps, email campaigns, tradeshow booths, social media content, and branding.
My Impact
During my tenure, the Bullhorn mobile app achieved a 4.5-star rating across iOS and Android and garnered over 30,000 downloads. Many of the notable hires I made are still with the company, providing lasting value even after my departure. I directly hired additional designers, either full-time or through agencies, to handle increased project loads, ensuring cost-efficiency and timely project completion. Although the company shifted direction after my departure and the app is no longer available, the impact of my work is evident in the examples provided below.
